Pakistan will witness the last supermoon of 2025 tonight and tomorrow night, according to Radio Pakistan and Suparco.<br />This spectacular Cold Moon appears up to 14% larger and nearly 30% brighter than a normal full moon as it comes closest to Earth in its orbit.<br /><br />This is the third consecutive supermoon of the year, following the October 7 and November 5 events — the latter known as the Beaver Supermoon, which was the biggest and brightest of 2025.<br /><br />Suparco has encouraged astronomy lovers, students, and families across Pakistan to observe this rare celestial event with the naked eye, as no telescope or special equipment is required — just clear skies.<br /><br />The Cold Moon is named for being the full moon closest to the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.<br /><br />Watch this video for the full details of tonight’s sky event!
